Workplace Safety Minister, Mick Gentleman, reports that serious injuries in the construction industry remain high at 31 per 1000 employees. While no fatalities in the last 6 months, the problem needs to be addressed.

The Government accepted all 28 recommendations in the 2012 Getting Home Safely Report and has confirmed it will continue with implementation.

This result is considerably higher than Qld and WA.
