Winners announced in the Safe Work Australia Awards

The winners of the 9th annual Safe Work Australia Awards were announced in Canberra on the evening of Monday 28 April 2014.

A special cocktail reception and ceremony was held at Old Parliament House where over 140 guests celebrated the best work health and safety achievements in Australia.

The winners are:

• Category 1
  • Winner: VEC Civil Engineering Pty Ltd (TAS)
• Category 2
  • Winner: Frasers Livestock Transport (QLD)
• Category 3
  • Winner: Zetco Valves Pty Ltd (NSW)
• Category 4a
  • Joint winner: Jedda McGlinchey – Ambulance Victoria (VIC)
  • Joint winner: Rodney Cook – Northcoast Institute of TAFE (NSW)
• Category 4b
  • Winner: Jennifer Bell – RSPCA QLD (QLD)
  • Highly commended: Phyllip Bix – Department of Justice (VIC)
